The Heart Care, Pulmonary Care and Chemotherapy/Blood Transfusion Unit (HPC) is a hybrid department which serves as an ancillary and patient care services unit established on September 2011. It is composed of three sub-departments which is the Heart Care Unit, Pulmonary Care Unit and the Chemotherapy/ Blood Transfusion Care Unit. This department is located at the second floor of the South Wing, just in front of the Patient Care Unit Two. The Heart Care Unit has two trained echocardiography nurse technicians assisting our cardiologists in performing special procedures such as 2d-echo, Stress test/ Treadmill, Holter Monitoring and ECG. The Pulmonary Care Unit primarily caters pulmonary inpatients that need nebulization, CPT, CPAP/ BiPAP, Ventilator support, peak flow, and Pulmonary Function Test. The Chemotherapy/ Blood Transfusion Care Unit specializes in the care of patients during chemotherapy, blood transfusion, and other related procedures (BMA, Phlebotomy, etc.). The Audiometry Unit is the latest addition. Trained and certified nurse’s perform newborn hearing tests/ screening and adult hearing tests.
